Join us for a fun-filled night at "Hot Glass Cold Beer" at Brooklyn Glass on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Meet fellow Columbians before the event for our alumni gathering at a nearby restaurant for small bites (details forthcoming). We'll walk over as a group to Brooklyn Glass to see their talented team show off their glass manipulation skills. Please note we have a limited number of tickets available!
For the evening, there will be demonstrations in glass blowing, neon bending, and flameworking from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. Guests will receive a handmade drinking glass and complimentary beverages will be available throughout the evening.
All sales are final and non-refundable. A confirmation email with meeting location will be sent out a few days before the event.
About Brooklyn Glass
Brooklyn Glass, an artist owned glass studio, is a unique resource for artists and craftsmen working in New York City area, promoting glass blowing, neon, lampworking, fusing. The studio offers classes, workshops and private lessons to all skills levels. Their 4,000 square foot facility contains a complete glass working studio including two furnaces (that melt 1,300 pounds of glass), five glory holes and workstation, various annealers, flameworking studio including two glass lathes, neon facility, and a cold working studio.
Tickets were made available through CAA Arts Access, a program of Columbia Alumni Association. CAA Arts Access has been opening doors to galleries, theaters, concert halls, and museums for more than 30,000 Columbia University alumni since its founding in 2007.
